Parvathi is the Managing Director at Innovation Alchemy Consulting Pvt Ltd, a lead Indian Innovation Facilitation firm; and she is also the Co-Founder CEO of Fresh Harvest Pvt Ltd., an agri business enterprise for horticulture production.
She set up Innovation Alchemy in 2009 to bring together her passion for development challenges, her experience in business consulting, and a strong belief in the power of innovation to be the critical change ingredient. She applies a broad spectrum of business, entrepreneurial and technology experience to emerging market challenges, with a special focus on socially responsible innovation.
Parvathi has built a repertoire of knowledge in designing and implementing breakthrough solutions for clients such as: ITC eChoupal, Tata Fertilizers, Samsung, Marico Innovation Foundation, DFID UK Aid and the World Bank group. She is recognized for her strategic facilitation skills, capacity to cull out fundamental insights and deep knowledge of the innovation & enterprise space in India, Africa and South Asia. Her ability to build meaningful collaborations with people and organizations in the innovation ecosystem has helped the Innovation Alchemy team, under Parvathi’s leadership, to develop Alchemize™, an acceleration methodology to facilitate leaders to apply innovation to scale up ideas.
Diving deeper into social enterprise and innovations, Parvathi set up a second venture in 2014, to focus on the issu of sustainable agriculture. Fresh Harvest Pvt Ltd., was set up as an agriculture enterprise designed to demonstrate that mid-sized farms (8-10 Acres) are ideally suited for development as profitable, sustainable agri business enterprises. Over five years Parvathi and her team have built a replicable model for urban farmers who wish to become agri-entrepreneurs, optimizing environmental sustainability, agri production and open markets. She is a passionate advocate of more urban professionals venturing into agriculture in a meaningful way, helping to bring about the agri revolution that India is poised for in this decade.
She has a Masters in Communication from the Hyderabad Central University and is an alumnus of the Management Programme for Women Entrepreneurs at the IIM Bangalore. Parvathi is on the Board for the School for Social Entrepreneurs, India and a certified Independent Director.
She enjoys teaching and facilitating Leaders in their learning journey. She is empaneled as a specialist facilitator for Innovation & Strategy for Harvard Business Publishing in India. On behalf of HBP, over six years, she has led the facilitation of several workshops, designed on the Harvard case-based method, for multinational corporations across India, Middle East and South Asia. She has also taught credit programs in entrepreneurship and innovation at several Business schools in India.
