NAMITA VIKAS, FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Namita Vikas is an award-winning senior business leader and ex-banker, with over 34 years of diverse experience in sectors across banking, finance, and technology. In her CXO position with India’s 4th largest private bank, she was instrumental in launching several first-to-market green and sustainable, banking products, including India’s maiden green bond, raising over US$ 1 billion in green capital.

An influential voice in sustainable finance and climate transition globally, she set up auctusESG Global in 2020 and has undertaken over 31 projects with international governments, UN agencies, MDBs, global DFIs across 19 geographies in Latin America, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. It includes working with marquee global financial institutions, governments, regulators and multilaterals on sustainable finance product development, climate risk management, natural capital financing, transition planning, ESG and climate-responsive fiscal and monetary policy development. auctusESG Global is currently present in UK, India, UAE, South Africa, and North America.

Namita was recently recognised as the Sustainable Thought Leader of the Year by the UK-based Environmental Finance. She continues to be a member of several sustainable finance and climate transition committees, including the Finance Industry Advisory Board of the International Energy Agency, International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), and Climate Bonds Initiative.

JASRAJ SINGH VIRDI, CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Jasraj Singh Virdi is a sustainability leader with over 23 years of experience in Sustainability, ESG Strategy, Corporate Citizenship, Policy Advocacy, Process Excellence, Corporate Brand Management, and Marketing & Communication.

He has led Global Citizenship and Sustainability at one of the world’s largest multinational healthcare companies, Abbott Laboratories, where he helped develop and implement sustainability, ESG and citizenship strategies to deliver responsible business growth, climate risk mitigation, improved supply chain efficiencies and EHS performance, and guided talent initiatives for a future-ready organisation.

Jasraj has led diverse teams and engaged external stakeholders across geographies on executing ESG and Sustainability priorities and goals.

Prior to his role at Abbott, he worked with a Hong Kong-based utility company, where he was responsible for building and implementing strategies for engaging government agencies, policy-influencing bodies, media, communities and societies, on the company’s business and ESG performance.

He has been a visiting faculty at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, a leading management institute in Mumbai and is an alum of IIM, Calcutta.
