Maneck E. Davar is the Chairman of the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and an independent director of ECGC (Export Credit Guarantee Corporation), Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. He is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Spenta Multimedia, India’s largest custom magazine publisher, Mumbai Boat Show Pvt. Ltd., Spenta Digital Media Pvt. Ltd., Liquid Publishing Pvt. Ltd., The Smart Manager Pvt. Ltd. and MW.Com Pvt. Ltd.. Maneck E. Davar comes with a rich experience of over 38 years, in print journalism and publishing having written for and worked with major Indian newspapers and magazines like The Times of India, Indian Express, Statesman, Midday and India Today. He established Spenta Multimedia, in 1995, an integrated print and online media company with in-house content, design, digital, print and book publishing capabilities, which has thirty six custom publishing titles and seven newsstand magazines, like JetWings, The Chartered Accountant Journal, Investime, to name a few.
Maneck E. Davar is associated with many public organisations. He is the Chairman of the Kala Ghoda Association which conducts the annual Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, with over four lakh visitors every year and which repairs and refurbishes heritage monuments in the heritage district of the city. He is the Managing Trustee of the Make-A-Wish Foundation India, which fulfils wishes of over 7,000 children with life threatening ailments every year. He is Chairman and Trustee of The Society for the Protection of Children in Western India, which runs the 100-year old Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Home for children whose 125 residents are abandoned and orphaned children. He is the President of SHED, Society for Human and Environmental Development founded by Mrs. Bilkis Latif, wife of the former Governor of Maharashtra, Air Marshal Idris H. Latif. He is the Hon. Secretary of ApneAap Women’s Collective which works with commercial sex workers and their children in the city’s red light district. He is a patron of The Research Society (Jai Vakeel School). He was the Hon. Secretary of 10th World Zoroastrian Congress, inaugurated by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
